TEST Transport Manager CPC
Our Transport Manager CPC course has one of the highest pass rates in the UK and can be studied either in the classroom or as online learning. Candidates will gain an understanding of how to successfully manage a transportation business and the specific legal obligations involved in operating large vehicles.
Transport Manager CPC Refresher Course
Transport Managers are encouraged to refresh their knowledge every five years to stay up to date with latest industry developments and changes in compliance. This course will allow participants to update their knowledge using a combination of practical problem solving and compliance-based scenarios and will build on skills gained from the original Transport Manager CPC qualification.
Operator License Awareness Training Course (OLAT)
Regardless of the fleet size, your O licence is one of your most valuable assets and it is your responsibility to protect it by keeping up to date with compliance issues and the responsibilities of all staff. This course is ideal for senior managers and traffic office staff, it covers a wide variety of topics including transport law, the OCRS system, powers of enforcement officers and the consequences of non-compliance.
Dangerous Goods (ADR)
Our Initial ADR Packages, Classes and Tankers courses are designed for training drivers, or individuals who require training for the transportation of dangerous goods by road transport. Designed for those who currently do not hold an ADR Certificate, or have expired certificates, this course offers elements of practical training, including first aid, fire extinguisher training and basic emergency actions, with course lengths depending on which VTC candidates wish to gain. Employers and drivers should be aware that all dangerous goods training is classed as work time under the relevant drivers’ hours legislation.
IRTEC
Whether you carry out your own vehicle maintenance or contract it out to a garage, keeping your vehicles in a compliant, roadworthy condition is essential. This course is suitable for intermediate HGV/PSV technicians, fleet managers, workshop personnel and vehicle maintenance supervisors and covers everything from walkaround daily checks and defect reporting to tachograph technology and guidance on accurate record keeping.
IRTEC accreditation
If you inspect or service commercial vehicles you can now obtain IRTEC accreditation (valid for 5 years) through RHA Training. IRTEC is an independent accreditation and validates the competence of technicians working in the road haulage and passenger carrying industries. Developed by the Institute of Transport Engineers (IRTE), IRTEC is recognised as the industry benchmark of competence that provides technicians with formal acknowledgement of their skills. Technicians are assessed every 5 years ensuring their knowledge is current and reaches the desired standard before each renewal.
Dangerous Goods Safety Advisors (DGSA)
This 6-day DGSA course is designed for those delegates that are responsible for their company’s safe consignment, storage, and transportation of dangerous goods by road freight. As part of the course, delegates will learn how to navigate various ADR and domestic regulations, consisting of an understanding of general provisions (including security), classification, identification, packaging, marking and labelling, documentation and equipment. DGSA examinations are conducted at centres specified by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) on behalf of the Department for Transport and consist written papers in core, mode of transport and classes elements of dangerous goods.
